Cost & Pricing
How much does an X-ray cost without insurance?
X-ray is the least expensive study we offer, starting at $103.40 self-pay. Because the price depends on the body part and how many views your physician orders, we publish the common ones below and quote anything else in writing before you book.

Common questions about X-ray cost
- Why does the price change from one X-ray to another?
- Because an X-ray order can mean anything from a single-view chest to a multi-view spine series, and each carries its own price. The table above covers the exams we're asked about most; anything not listed we'll quote in writing before you book.
- How do I get an X-ray price?
- Request a free Good Faith Estimate — email billing@cvimaging.net or call (949) 215-3304 with the body part your physician ordered, and we'll quote it in writing.
- Do I need a doctor's order for an X-ray?
- Yes. X-ray is by appointment and requires a written physician order specifying the body part and the views to be taken.
- Do I need to prepare for an X-ray?
- Almost never. Wear clothing without metal near the area being imaged and leave jewelry at home; our X-ray prep page covers the exceptions.
