Dr. Alireza Namini joined Crown Valley Imaging after completing his Neuroradiology fellowship training at the University of Southern California in June 2016. He specializes in imaging of the central nervous system which includes the brain, neck and the spine. He concluded his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia where he also attended medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine graduating with multiple honors. During residency and fellowship, he routinely presented at interdisciplinary conferences aiding and guiding clinicians in delivering customized patient-centered care. Dr. Namini has been involved with “Choosing Wisely” campaign launched by the American Board of Internal Medicine with the goal of promoting evidence-based practices and medical testing. He has also presented at various prestigious scientific meetings including the American Society of Neuroradiology and the American Spine Society and has been involved in multiple research and educational projects. His research interests began at California State University Fullerton where he was the recipient of multiple grants for his work on tumor cells. He graduated with honors and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Cellular Biology in 2005. His commitment to our community is evident by his volunteer work at UCI Medical Center and also ROOTS habitat restoration of Upper Newport Bay.
